ChargeLogic 4.0 To Be Released Later This Month
The latest version of ChargeLogic, Chargelogic 4.0, improves on the premier payment processing solution for Microsoft Dynamics NAV by introducing a host of features designed to make the ChargeLogic more flexible than ever before.
Among the exciting features are the API/Virtual Terminal granule, EFT Setup Advisor, Streamlined Merchant Setup, and Setup Import/Export.
ChargeLogic 4.0, is currently undergoing the rigorous process of PCI Validation and is expected to be released later this month. The release will be accompanied by an upgrade tool kit and updated product documentation. Please note that we will continue to support versions of ChargeLogic.
Features of ChargeLogic 4.0:
API Granule
The API/Virtual Terminal Granule allows users to integrate applications with ChargeLogic inside of NAV. With Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 ChargeLogic's functionality can be extended outside of the NAV system, allowing organizations to leverage its functionality in new ways such as integrating eCommerce websites, call center applications, and with CRM systems. The release of ChargeLogic 4.0 also includes Virtual Terminal that can be used by your team as a blueprint for integrating ChargeLogic with other applications.
Virtual Terminal
The Virtual Terminal feature of ChargeLogic makes processing large volumes of transactions even easier. Users can now key in credit card information for rapid entry or use a lookup to associate payments with the correct account within Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
EFT Setup Advisor
Using the EFT Setup Advisor, implementers can find a quick and interactive checklist to ensure they have installed ChargeLogic correctly and completely. The Setup Advisor will create a punch list of installation steps, provide a categorization as to the severity of the issue, and allow users to drill into the specific issue to correct it immediately.
Streamlined Merchant Setup
The Streamlined Merchant Setup feature makes setting up merchant stores and terminals easier than ever before. In the past, each store and terminal had to be set up manually. Now, using the ChargeLogic license key, the user will create the original merchant record and be able to have ChargeLogic automatically create the correct number of stores and terminals.
Setup Import/Export - We Have Heard Your Request!
A number of our partners have requested the ability to Setup ChargeLogic on a test database before applying it to the live system. In response to that request, we have created the Setup Import/Export feature. Using Setup Import/Export, ChargeLogic will create an XML file of the test database install that can quickly and easily be applied to the live database.
Introducing Tokenization
Credit Card Tokenization is a creative new alternative to data encryption. With Tokenization your clients can process payments without the need to store sensitive information on their system.
So how does it work? When a credit card or debit card (or any other alternative payment method) is used in a transaction the initial information is sent to the company providing the tokenization services, in the case of ChargeLogic this would be a payment gateway. Immediately after the gateway receives the transaction information they will generate a random and unique number return it to the merchant. This number, or token, is the only thing that needs to be stored on an internal system.
Tokenization is a new technology and as such only a few payment gateways currently support it. Payment gateways charge a fee based on the number of card numbers stored for the client.
Currently ChargeLogic is only certified for two payment gateways, Element Payment and B+S Card Services, that offer the Tokenization service. We will continue to certify for other gateways that provide this tokenization service and will update partners on our progress in the monthly newsletter.
